Why is storytelling such an important part of marketing strategy?

Human beings respond to stories. We always have! In fact, before the written word was invented, there was an oral tradition. So much of the way we see ourselves is shaped through story. This is true on scales large and small. 

It isn’t about the numbers. How many people are on your mailing list, or how many Instagram followers you have, or how many people visited your website this month isn’t as important as how many lives you’ve touched with your spiritual business. 

Our goal in boosting engagement is all about reaching more people who we can help with our offerings. 

In my experience so far as a spiritual entrepreneur, copywriter, and marketing strategist, I’ve learned a few things. The biggest thing that has stood out to me is that ✨GENEROSITY✨is the secret ingredient that makes a business grow and stand the test of time. People respond to those who are generous. People trust others who give more than they take. 

Do your actions match your words?

“Fake it till you make it” is about confidence not lying. You’re supposed to put on the confidence you may not necessarily feel — not fake qualifications you don’t have.

To be honest, I think the question here really should be twofold. Do your actions match your words and do your words match your actions?

When promoting your business, are you telling the truth?

It’s as simple as shifting your mindset from “What can they do for me?” to “How can we both help each other?”

The feminine energy is magnetic in nature. It naturally has an ability to draw things toward it. She doesn’t need to chase.

A lot of people in the spiritual and conscious business field balk at the idea of sales and marketing. It feels icky, doesn’t it?

But it doesn’t have to!

While I do subscribe to the idea that we can be in flow and alignment with the Universe and magnetize opportunities to us, we also have to live our 3D experience and work with the resources we have available to us as human beings.

There is something I learned while studying theatre, and it’s this: the more specific the story, the more relatable it is.

The words I’ve written on this page are my story specifically, but I think they have value outside of myself. I believe that the more authentically I share, the more my words will touch the people they are meant to touch.

I have been reading the tarot for years now, and as an Aquarius woman, the Queen of Swords card has always been relatable to me.

For a while, I thought that was a bad thing because she tends to get a bad rap. She can be seen as bitchy and forceful. But people only think they if they don’t like an intelligent, powerful woman.

I see her now as simply a woman who knows her mind, who has wisdom and knows it, and she isn’t afraid to say it. As a professional tarot reader, I saw her appear to many people (especially women) who needed to trust in their own perspective and speak up more.
